**Objectives:** The charitable purposes of the East Linton Gala Association  are: • the advancement of citizenship or community development, and • the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended Aims and objectives The East Linton Gala Association aims to bring together the community of East Linton through an annual Gala event in order to foster positive community connection and social interaction, uphold and share our traditions and culture, and celebrate our local area. The objectives of the organisation will be: • To arrange community events throughout the year, culminating in the annual Gala celebration. • To promote the Gala within the local community and wider in East Lothian  • To manage the funds accrued by the events and provide a sustainable financial footing to deliver the Gala • To ensure a duty of care to all participants • To provide all its services in a way that is fair to everyone.
