Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the financial period
Throughout the year The Charity has been approached by various institutions, requesting different levels of collaboration in a variety of avenues of research. This has meant allowing researchers/students to attend classes, interact with participants, and collect data that is used in completing their studies, or research programs.
The Charity supports the efforts of freelance practitioners who promote, and provide training of teachers and assistant teachers, through workshops, CPD programs, taster sessions, and the delivery of lectures at conferences.
Support two existing hubs providing weekly sessions attended by those living with Parkinson's. Promoting the creation, developement and sustainability of future hubs.
Financial review
Brief statement of the charity’s policy
on reserves
The charity, Dance and Sing for Parkinson's, Scotland, has a policy to hold reserves of approximately four months' expenditure. This will ensure that all core activities can continue during any temporary shortfall in income.
At the end of the period, the charity had free reserves of £ 4 990.00 This represents roughly 3 months' expenditure. It is acknowledged that this falls short of our goal, but given the infancy of the charity, and the projections of increased fundraising in the near future, the current position is acceptable.
