The overarching aim of Gorgie Community Farm is to secure and sustain the site as an inclusive, accessible, and community-centred asset. The charity intends to achieve this through strong partnerships, shared use of space, and the development of income-generating activities that support long-term sustainability.

Objectives: The Company has been formed to benefit the community of Edinburgh (the “Community”), with the following purposes (the “Purposes”): to: (a) provide (or advance the accessibility of) recreational facilities. and/or (b) organise recreational activities, which shall be available to members of the Community and the public, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the Community. to advance citizenship or community development, including rural or urban regeneration. to advance the provision of educational opportunities in the Community, increasing awareness of the environment, culture, heritage and/or history. and to advance environmental protection or improvement, including: (a) preservation, sustainable development and conservation of the natural environment. (b) maintenance, improvement or provision of environmental amenities for the Community. and/or (c) the preservation of buildings or sites of architectural, historic or other importance to the Community.
