**What the charity does:** Orkney West Mainland Agricultural Society is set up primarily to organise and run the annual Orkney West Mainland agricultural show along with ploughing match and farmers ball.  The show park is a facility available to the community and is rented out to other local clubs and societies over the course of the year.

**Objectives:** (a) The advancement of education of the public in Orkney on the range of agricultural practices in the community.   (b) The advancement of heritage, improving the Orkney public's access to agricultural knowledge and skills in the community.  (c) The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the public in Orkney for whom the facilities and activities of the West Mainland Agricultural Society are primarily intended.  (d) To advance the Orkney West Mainland Society in any way appropriate relating to the aims.
