Objectives & Activities
This charity was set up for the advancement of the Christian faith, specifically including providing, equipping and maintaining a public place or places for the worship of God. The charity resolved to acquire a public meeting hall in the town of Peterhead, Scotland for this purpose.
Structure, governance and management
OSCR gave approval for charitable status in July 2024. The charity is governed by a trust deed which was signed on 17 July 2024. The charity must have no less than three trustees.
Achievements and performance
A property — the Glendale Hall in Peterhead — was donated to the charity in August 2024 by another Christian group. They had used it since 1969 for a similar purpose but were no longer able to continue using it themselves.
This property had not been in regular use since 2020 and it required renovation before being used again as a public meeting hall. During this year, the charity successfully carried out the bulk of this renovation: the interior was insulated, re-wired, re-plumbed and re-plastered; and new disabled facilities were installed. Some of this work was carried out by volunteers.
This work was substantially completed by the end of the financial year, and the charity expects to make it available again as a public place of Christian worship in Peterhead from the autumn of 2025.

Financial review
The charity’s initial set up and operating costs and the renovation of the Glendale Hall in Peterhead were primarily funded by donations.
Forecast costs for the next financial year are expected to be lower but will include the ongoing running costs of this property. Trustees recognise that future property maintenance costs will arise and the charity’s policy is therefore to build up a financial reserve to meet future needs.
Any reserve funds held by the charity are not expected to be large but will be held on bank deposit. This policy will be reviewed by the trustees on an annual basis.
Future plans
Looking ahead to next year following this renovation work, the charity expects to focus its resources on maintaining this public place of worship in good working order to ensure its ongoing availability for the stated purpose.
