We are a non-profit community initiative, committed to hiring e-bikes to Hawick folk and visitors to the town. Our main aims are to improve health and wellbeing, whilst maximising the use of our new Active Travel Network and allowing more people to enjoy the beautiful countryside around Hawick. We do this by: 1. Securing funding to allow free Ebike hire 2. Offering cycle led rides, allowing people to enjoy fresh air and meet new people 3. Offering opportunities for one to one tuition and guidance 4. Working together with companies to offer free Ebike hire allowing staff to commute to work 5. Offering interested parties opportunity to gain cycle maintenance certificates and support led rides 6. Engaging with youth and other groups to provide cycle maintenance classes 7. Offering Free ebike hire and guidance to trial Ebikes
Objectives: The organisation’s purposes are: By providing opportunities to try cycling, Teri Bikes aims to: • Progress community development including the advancement of rural regeneration principally with the community of TD9 postcode area • Provide volunteer opportunities, improving mental health, employability and reducing social isolation. • Encourage active travel and reduce car journeys
