Chairman's Report March 2025:
Firstly, may I thank you all for your hard workover the past 12 months. Whether it ha5 been on our
stalls, diligent craftwork or behind the scenes delivering and collecting donations and supporting
other members of our volunteer groiJD. each contribution is important and much appreaated. I
would especially like to thank
or their help, advice, and support.
During the past year we have welcomed new volunteers to our group and have been fortunate to
3lso secure more talented crafters who, alth￿IEh not Friends of Queen Margaret, support us
enthusiastically in our fundraising efforts.
We have reinststed the 5-day events in Queen Margaret at Chnstmas and Easter and this has been
very well re￿iVed by staff. p3tients. and visitors. We are delighted to be invited to continue to
ttend the Small Business Market in the King5gate Centre in May and September and I would like to
thank NN, who organises these events, for her advice and supporL
Developments:
We became a Scottlsh Charftable Incorwrated Organi5ation ISCIOI on i October 2024 and l am
very grateful for the guidance and support I received from OSCR and Fife Voluntary Action during
the journey to achieve this.
Fundralsing:
Our fundraisin8 efforts have continued to do well in 2024. The stalls in Queen Margaret and the
Kingsgate have been verywell supported.
Knltting Commlssions and Facebook:
We are in the proce55 of collectin8 photographic examples of knittin8 and crochet, which our
crafters have done and are available to view on the Facebook page. These 8arrnents are for
Illustration purposes only and will allow people to see the range of work we undertake and frorn
which commisslons may be ordered. The Facebook page has also been able to showcase the
equipment which has been dellvered io ihe wards and departments from the Frlends over the past
twelve months.
Supporting Craft Group5 arKI Volurteers.
Needles & Pins- That Pla￿ in the Bay, Dalgety Baycommunity Hub continuesto flourish. My thanks
to
or their enthusiasm and support in teachin8 knitting and crochet skills to this group
of talented ladles and to the members themselves for their beautiful knittlng and crochet whlch
they regularly send in for our fvndrai5in8 efforts.
The volunteers from Hobbies & Crafts, Kin85eat; &Jroptimist Intemational, Dunfermline and
members of the local community who help with fundraising events remains steady.

In Decernber the Friends were invited to attend the Amazon Charity event in Dunfermline and
following on from that evenin& l am pleased that the Friends have now enjoyed the support of
Amazon staff during the week of the Easter Fair, as well as several donations, which have boosted
our fundraising substsntiality. I look forward to further involvement with this local company in the
future.
