Constitution

The Charity is a Scottish Charitable Unincorporated Association registered in its current legal form on 19[th] June 2024.

For Zoe Freedom & Prophetic Resources is a Christian charity based in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. Governed by our constitution, we communicate and demonstrate the heart of God, while providing training, mentoring, support and equipping for those seeking to grow in their own life purpose, call, mission, and spiritual leadership abilities, so that they in turn can benefit their own communities.

We support people to gain tools that will help them to overcome life issues and barriers to wellbeing, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction, so that they can live the life they were created to live.

Non-cash grants are available for people in Scotland (and at times beyond) who need items that are essential for wellbeing, where they may be experiencing issues such as poverty, destitution, and ill health.

Our name Zoe reflects our mission and purpose – to bring, demonstrate and improve life for others. Zoe is an ancient Greek word that means ‘life’. It is the fullness of life that God intended us to have, and as God Himself has it. The word Zoe is found in the book of John 10:10 (Amplified Bible): “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life (Zoe), and have it in abundance to the full, till it overflows.”

Appointment of Trustees

We launched into our first year as a charity with a board of five Trustees, who are both passionate about what we do, and who have a diverse mix of skills and backgrounds, including social work, addictions rehabilitation, counselling, health and wellbeing, education, administration, and spiritual, organizational, and workplace leadership. There has been no further recruitment to date.

Our recruitment processes enable us to do this using a variety of means, e.g. through advertisements, social/professional networking channels, and recommendations. We establish suitability of prospective trustees through processes such as conducting formal interviews, undertaking relevant background checks, and requiring formal declarations to ensure we maintain safety, integrity, and good governance in all we do

Objectives and Activities

Charitable purposes

The prevention or relied of poverty, The advancement of religion

The relief of those in need by reason of age, il-health, disability, financial hardship or other.

Activities

Our first year has been an adventure, setting the course so that we function well in all aspects of our charitable purposes. We’ve been grateful for the work of volunteers and the hours spent helping with everything from answering emails, booking appointments, coordinating and serving on teams, creating and running training and mentoring events, and networking, through to our trustees keeping a watchful eye of leadership and good governance over all we do.

Achievement and Performance

We’ve seen a steady growth in funds raised through donations from those attending our various training, support, and mentoring appointments and events, along with donations received from other donors. These funds have enabled us to provide non-cash grants to people in South Lanarkshire who were experiencing issues of poverty, destitution, ill health and disability, and who were in need of items essential for maintaining their wellbeing. Referrals have resulted from establishing connections and raising awareness of our charity within local social work teams

Financial Review

Our main source of funding is donations from our supporters. Total receipts for the charity for the year were £2,829.85; this includes income from a training event.

Our expenditure for the year was £159.49, given a balance of £2,670.36 to be carried over to 1 July 2025

Independent Examiner’s Report

To the trustee of Zoe Freedom & Prophetic Resources, I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 30 June 2025 which are set out on pages seven to nine.

Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiners

The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1) (a) to (c) of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1) (c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.

Basis of independent examiners’ statement

My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.

Independent examiners’ statement

In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention that gives me reasonable cause to believe that, in any material respect, the requirements to:

have not been met, or to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
