## **Current Trustees**
The following are serving as trustees at the date of this report. All trustees were appointed on incorporation of the charity on 13 June 2024.
## **Structure, Governance and Management**
## **Constitution**
The Charity is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (a SCIO). It was registered on 13 June 2024. It has a single tier structure and as such the trustees are the members of the charity.
## **Appointment of trustees**
The Board of Trustees currently has a good mix of skills appropriate to a charity at this stage of its life including charity governance, law and finance. As the trust progresses, the board may explore adding further expertise in the area of arts management and fundraising.
## **Objectives and Activities**
## **Charitable purposes**
To advance the arts, heritage and culture through the promotion of professional performances of instrumental music, with an emphasis on music composed since 1900;
To advance education in the area of arts and culture by providing opportunities for professional, student and amateur musicians to enhance their skills and to take part in the commissioning and development of new musical works; and
To advance public access and engagement with instrumental musical performance - both existing works and new commissions.

## **Activities**
The charitable activities are undertaken by the Thirteen North Group. In January 2025 the Group performed both at the IMBOLC International Music Festival in Derry, Northern Ireland and at the Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow. From an artistic standpoint these had been open, positive experiences with willing, inclusive participation from players. The next aim would be to find a way to work through rehearsal and performance to hone an individual style and atmosphere, but a special element at Celtic Connections had been to have all living composers present.
## **Financial review**
The charity received income from the two Festivals and incurred expenditure in the form of musicians’ fees, travelling costs and administrative expenses directly related to them. No trustees received any remuneration, reimbursement of expenses or other financial return.
## **Plans for future period**
The Group hopes that in January 2026 it will be possible to engage in similar engagements to those undertaken in January 2025. Additional activity in the future will be dependent on the outcome of funding applications.
