The Blairgowrie & Rattray Highland Games, is a local annual Highland Games nurturing the historical aspects of Highland Games in Scotland. We provide a day of events for the general public, and visitors from further afield to enjoy the traditional events and competitions. In addition to the events, we also provide opportunities for the local community and groups to help with the running of the day, and the preparation leading up to it. In exchange for this assistance, we provide them with meals, refreshments and a donation to their local group or charity, to help with their on-going efforts within the area.
Objectives: To advance the heritage and culture of Scotland by staging, managing, operating and promoting the annual Blairgowrie & Rattray Highland Games. To advance public participation and sport through the organisation of professional events and non-professional events to all comers. To provide recreational facilities or assist in the organisation of recreational facilities for the benefit of the general public. and To advance community development by supporting, whether by donation or through other means, community organisations, activities or projects within the Blairgowrie and Rattray area that further any of the charitable purposes listed at Section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005.
