Còisir Ghàidhlig Loch Abar is set up to promote and sustain Scottish Gaelic language and culture through music, particularly choral singing. Its aim is to foster a love of Gaelic song and community. The charity achieves this by running regular choir rehearsals, delivering performances at local and national events and supporting cultural gatherings that celebrate Gaelic heritage. It also encourages learning and use of the language through song, helping participants build confidence while keeping traditional music alive. By bringing people together, the choir strengthens community ties and ensures Gaelic culture continues to thrive for future generations.

Objectives: (a) To promote community activity, enjoyment and social inclusion through choral singing. Gaelic language and music (b) To provide educational, recreational, leisure and social activities for members through the promotion of Gaelic language and music (c) To advance the appreciation of the Gaelic language and culture through public performances for the benefit of the wider community
