The trustees are responsible for the governance and strategic direction of the charity and for ensuring that it operates in line with its charitable purposes and applicable regulatory requirements.
Charitable purposes
Socialtrack was established for,
The provision of recreational facilities or the organisation of recreational activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended.
The advancement of environmental protection or improvement.
The charity’s purposes are intended to, but not limited to, primarily benefit community members living in North Lanarkshire, Scotland.
Activities and achievements during the year
Key activities included:

Completing charity registration and establishing governance structures

Developing core organisational policies and procedures

Trustee meetings to set strategic direction and clarify charitable purposes

Volunteer involvement and observation at community cycling and action sports events delivered by partner organisations, supporting skills development and learning

Engagement with local community networks, boards, and partners to understand local need and identify future opportunities

Early consultation with young people, families, and community partners to inform programme design
While no direct charitable expenditure or income occurred during this period, these preparatory activities were essential to ensure the charity was appropriately governed, compliant, and ready to begin delivery in the following year.

Plans for future periods
In the next reporting period the charity plans to move from organisational setup into active delivery of charitable activities.
Key plans include:

Delivering inclusive, cycling/wheeled sport-based programmes for children and young people, particularly in communities experiencing inequality

Working in partnership with schools, community organisations, and local services to deliver targeted and open-access sessions

Continuing volunteer recruitment, training, and development to support safe and effective delivery

Ongoing consultation with young people, families, and community partners to shape programmes and ensure they respond to local need

Securing grant funding and other charitable income to support programme delivery, equipment, and staffing

Developing systems to monitor participation, outcomes, and impact to support learning, accountability, and future funding applications
The trustees will continue to review the charity’s activities, governance, and financial position to ensure the organisation remains sustainable, compliant, and focused on delivering public benefit.
