**What the charity does:** Afristyle Dance Club SCIO is a charity in Aberdeen that empowers young people and families, particularly from ethnic minority backgrounds, through dance, culture, and community programmes. We reduce isolation, build confidence, promote cultural pride, and support wellbeing. We offer free dance classes, after-school clubs, youth-led workshops, food vouchers, snacks, warm clothing, and climate sessions. Our work includes cultural meals, performances, peer support, and buddy systems to help new members feel welcome. We also run “Dance for Health” sessions for parents and perform in care homes. We operate for over 36 weeks yearly, supporting inclusion, respect, and growth.

**Objectives:** The organisation’s purposes are:,  The provision of recreational facilities and activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities and activities are primarily intended and the advancement of the Arts &amp; Culture, and in furtherance of this by.  Promoting and providing instruction in dance  4.2      Encouraging public participation of children and Young people and their families in dance performance  1.3         Working in partnership with other bodies to achieve the purposes  1.4         Advancement of Health.  To Advance health, and relieve those in need by reason of ill health, particularly children, young people, women, and families in Aberdeen and surrounding areas, including African and minority ethnic communities and those experiencing isolation or financial hardship, by  a. Providing regular Afro dance and physical activity sessions to improve fitness and wellbeing.  b. Delivering culturally appropriate wellbeing programmes which reduce loneliness, anxiety, and low mood.  c. Offering healthy lifestyle workshops addressing nutrition, physical activity, and prevention of diseases affecting public health.  d. Providing accessible programmes, including subsidised or free provision, for those experiencing disadvantage.  1.5         Advancement of Education  To advance education for the public benefit, particularly in Aberdeen and surrounding areas, by promoting African arts, heritage, and culture, and by developing skills, creativity, and leadership among children and young people, by  Delivering structured dance and arts education programmes in schools and community settings. Providing workshops on African history, culture, music, and storytelling. Supporting personal development through leadership, volunteering, and structured progression opportunities
