Activities

'It carries out activities or services itself'

'the advancement of education','the advancement of health','the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage'

Scots Recovery from Childhood Abuse (SRFCA) has, in its first year, sought to make a reality its founding vision: to ensure that survivors of childhood sexual and sibling addiction abuse in the Forth Valley area has access to free, high-quality, trauma-informed care. What began as a response to the glaring gap in local support services has grown into a thriving, community-focused charity offering a full recovery pathway—combining one-to-one counselling, group therapy, holistic treatment modalities, and coaching—both in-person and online. Our heartfelt thanks go to our funders, partners, volunteers, whose compassion and professionalism make this work possible.

Beneficiaries: 'Other defined groups'

Objectives: 1) To provide support in Forth Valley (the operating area) holistic and therapeutic services to those in need and to help people to improve their health and wellbeing. 2) To advance knowledge and understanding in Scotland of the effects of childhood abuse through education and awareness programmes. 3) To address issues of isolation for survivors through the promotion and encouragement of group work and events e.g. mentoring and befriending for both survivors and non-abusing significant others. 4) To provide training for those who support survivors either within the organisation or through other professional or relational structures.
