SUMMARY OF OBJECTIVES AND MAIN ACTIVITIES Project Pitcairn SCIO IPPSI has a long term plan to develop and help to repopulate the Island, which is now down to just over 40 residents and is close to critical mass for sustainability. PPS will suoport the Islanders to attract volunteers and potential settlers who can hopefully become new settlers. The project is the initiative of Islander Jacqui Christian. Project Pitc3irn's strategic objectives are: l.Attract Skilled Volunteer Workers To revitalize Pitcairn's dwindling population, we'll bring in skilled volunteers over five years. These workers will contribute essential skills and help the island thrive. 2.Enhance Digital Connectivlty We'll ensure Pilcaim has reliable and fast internet by 2024, enabling residents and volunteers to stay connected with the world. 3.Secure Access to Fresh Produce To ifflprove nutrition and redu reliance on expensive imports. 4.Provide Affordable Housing for Volunteers 5.Boost Sustainable Economic Development By fostering private sector growth, we'll reduce dependence on government jobs and create ne.w bus5ness opportunities for immigrants and residents. 6.Initiate Environmental Projects We'll launch three environmental projects by 2029. leveraging outside funding and local in- volvement lo protect Pitcairn's natural resources.
7.Offer Affordable Travel for volunteers We'll work to reduce travel costs lo and from Pitcairn for volunteers. making it easier ané more attractive for them to support the island. INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT ON THEACCOUNTS The charity's trustees are responsible for the prèparation of the accounts in accordance with the terrns of the Charities and Trustee Investment IS¢otlandl 2005 Act and the Charities Accounts {Scotlandl Regulations 2006 las amended). The charity trustees Eonsider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10{11 {dl of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my rèsponsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44111 Icl of the Act and to state whether particular matters hava corneto my attention. My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of th• accounts presented with those rÈeords. It alsD includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks explanations from the trurtees Concerning any such matters. The procedure5 undertaken do not provlde all the evidence that would be required in an audit and, consequently, I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
