**What the charity does:** Helping and supporting local people to strengthen the community in health and well-being. We have a special interest in promoting biodiversity and education.

**Objectives:** (a) To advance environmental protection and improvement by (inter alia) (i) remediating community land which has become contaminated or degraded. (ii) carrying out and supporting sustainable land use practices. (iii) improving the biodiversity of the land. (iv) developing community renewable energy schemes (b) to advance education by providing the opportunity for people to experience the outdoor environment.  (c) the advancement of citizenship and community development in the village by (inter alia) (i) involving volunteers in tree planting,  (ii) establishing and maintaining a community garden, (iii) running workshops and educational programmes to raise awareness about environmental issues. (d) the relief of those in need by reason of age or loneliness by (inter alia) (i) running a craft group, a weekly tea bar and coffee morning for the elderly in the village and  (ii) supporting a Men&#x27;s Shed social group. (e) the advancement of the arts and heritage by supporting the community buyout of a disused parish church and hall in the village and its conversion into an alternative community use such as an arts centre. (f) other charitable objects which promote the advancement of community development (including the advancement of rural regeneration) and which are compatible with the purposes specified in Section 7 of Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005.
