APPENDIX 1 Achievements and performance Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the financial period ABERLADY COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION - ANNUAL REPORT 2024-25 has been another busy and productive year of ACA activities, a huge thanks must go to the dedicated | team of trustees who give their time so freely to help manage and maintain the village hall and who work tirelessly Dono eS S Side ae Of ee ee 2d ae ies We are grateful to our four Property Trustees, any years of dedicated work, keeping a walCiiul eye OVer Operations and providing Some words of wisdom when required. We have almost completed the process of re-organisation to become Aberlady Community Association (SCIO). The remaining task is the transfer the assets, namely the village hall and the bank accounts. This has proven to be a lengthy and complicated process; we are very grateful to lan Barcroft for helping us navigate this process, as well | as his very thorough work in his role as Secretary. We are hopeful that the re-organisation process can be completed before Christmas 2025, at which point Aberlady Community Association (as is) will be formally dissolved. | | The village hall continues to be well used throughout the year by regular classes, activities and events and a range | of ad hoc private bookings. New bookings include two weekly Callanetics classes, a Thu evening Pickleball session | and a Wed Badminton group. The small hall was given a lick of paint and a tidy up and is now used for weekly kid’s | art classes, rehearsals of a new village choir - The Aberlady Singers, and also for Aberlady Sessions music | rehearsals. The main hall remains very popular for kids’ parties, we have hosted four weddings, several Christmas | party nights and many evening events and fundraisers. | esehindehind the scenes dealing-: takenwith overenquiries, the rolebookings of Bookingand Secretaryarranging onviewings. a voluntaryThisbasis;year we we thank herhave-: takenwith overenquiries, the rolebookings of Bookingand Secretaryarranging onviewings. a voluntaryThisbasis;year we we thank herhavewith overenquiries, the rolebookings of Bookingand Secretaryarranging onviewings. a voluntaryThisbasis;year we we thank herhave overenquiries, the rolebookings of Bookingand Secretaryarranging onviewings. a voluntaryThisbasis;year we we thank herhaveenquiries, the rolebookings of Bookingand Secretaryarranging onviewings. a voluntaryThisbasis;year we we thank herhave the rolebookings of Bookingand Secretaryarranging onviewings. a voluntaryThisbasis;year we we thank herhave rolebookings of Bookingand Secretaryarranging onviewings. a voluntaryThisbasis;year we we thank herhavebookings of Bookingand Secretaryarranging onviewings. a voluntaryThisbasis;year we we thank herhave of Bookingand Secretaryarranging onviewings. a voluntaryThisbasis;year we we thank herhave Bookingand Secretaryarranging onviewings. a voluntaryThisbasis;year we we thank herhaveand Secretaryarranging onviewings. a voluntaryThisbasis;year we we thank herhave Secretaryarranging onviewings. a voluntaryThisbasis;year we we thank herhavearranging onviewings. a voluntaryThisbasis;year we we thank herhave onviewings. a voluntaryThisbasis;year we we thank herhaveviewings. a voluntaryThisbasis;year we we thank herhave a voluntaryThisbasis;year we we thank herhave voluntaryThisbasis;year we we thank herhaveThisbasis;year we we thank herhavebasis;year we we thank herhaveyear we we thank herhave we we thank herhave we thank herhave thank herhavehave reviewed for alland her for alland her alland herand her her work || updated the booking terms & conditions, policies and pricing. will endeavour to make sure the information on the site is up to date and accurate. Our thanks also go | A || This year the Aberlady Local Place Plan 2025-2035 was submitted and approved by ELC. This was an enormous undertaking, made possible largely by the skill and determination[ho very much led this piece of work. The LLP will feed in to the ELC 10-year Local Development Plan; a copy of the LPP is available to readin the | village hall, Margiota, and can also be view online via the www.aberlady.org homepage. Thanksi: a team of volunteers who continue to work tirelessly behind the scenes making sure that | the provis rs in the village is managed and maintained and that annual training is made available to | residents. A very successful Just Giving campaign raised £1480 towards the costs of ongoing maintenance and two new defibrillators in Meadowside and Glenpeffer, taking the total in the village to five. | The task of managing and maintaining the village hall can be a hefty one, it is a demanding and awkward old | building at times, and the work that goes on behind the scenes is largely unheralded. However, it is ACA’s shared belief that the village hall is a vital resource for the residents of Aberlady. | can’t thank everyone enough for their part in keeping its doors open. | erlady Community Association | Financial review Brief statement of the charity’s policy | A policy of holding £15,000 has been implemented during 2024 year. | on reserves | | | Details of any deficit “notapplicable = } | | | Donated facilities and services (if any) /notapplicable =ae
