Really Real Resources is a young and ambitious Scottish charity with a straightforward mission: to strengthen diversity, inclusion and social understanding in schools across Scotland. What makes our resources different is how they are made. We work directly with people who have lived experience — families affected by Down’s Syndrome, neurodiversity, addiction and poverty — and we bring their real stories into the classroom through high-quality documentary photography, video and audio, paired with structured learning materials that help teachers guide thoughtful, pupil-centred discussion. These are not textbook resources. They are honest, human and genuinely engaging, with the added benefit that they are flexible enough to be applied cross curriculum.

Beneficiaries: 'People with disabilities or health problems'

Objectives: 4.1 To promote a public understanding and appreciation of photography as an art and a means of communication, in particular to raise awareness of the challenges faced by the most vulnerable in society through the use of the highest quality documentary material including stills photography, video and audio. 4.2 To advance equality and diversity and to challenge thinking, increase awareness and seek to increase inclusion, and reduce stigma. 4.3 To advance education through the creation of educational packages which highlight the challenges faced by the most vulnerable in society encouraging inclusiveness.
