The Eilean Siar Foodbank was set up to provide food and other essential items (such as baby items, toiletries) to individuals or families in need of this assistance due to Cost of Living crises or other poverty inducing circumstances.
Objectives: 4 The organisation's purposes are: (a) The prevention or relief of poverty by distributing food aid and where required utility aid and essential child care items (b) The relief of those in need by reason of financial or other hardship through direct aid or signposting to other relevant agencies (c) To assist other local foodbanks where required with provision of practical items relating to their role or food items for persons in need elsewhere within the Western Isles community
