The Strathleven Foundation was established in 2023 by Strathleven Regeneration CIC to inherit funds generated from the sale of SRCIC's land assets in the Lomondgate area of Dumbarton. The Foundation has awarded grants in this time from these inherited funds and specifically for those Organisation's which have applied for projects which fulfil the Foundations priorities. We opened our initial funding with our Helping Hand Fund aimed at local charities and community groups in our Area of Benefit -- awarding £57,672 over a one year period to 35 successful applicants. Running alongside this we worked with our local council and a consultant to develop digital technology for a children's library within a renovated building in Dumbarton High Street - almost £200,000. Going forward the Trustees have decided to concentrate most of our remaining funding toward one large inspirational project yet to be confirmed.

Objectives: 4. The objects of the SCIO are to advance such charitable purposes within West Dunbartonshire and Dumbarton (the 'Operating Area') as the Trustees see fit from time to time through the provision of grants and financial assistance, and in particular the Trustees will prioritise applications which contribute to one or more of the following-- (a) The prevention or relief of poverty (b) The advancement of education (c) The advancement of health (d) The advancement of citizenship or community development (e) The advancement of arts, culture, heritage and science (f) The advancement of public participation in sport (g) The promotion of equality and diversity (h) The advancement of environmental protection or improvement.
