The charity’s mission is to improve the quality of life of strays in Peru (and pets in general) by managing its population efficiently. through free sterilization programs and educating on responsible pet ownership in vulnerable communities, we aim to reduce the overpopulation of homeless animals and prevent their suffering.
Objectives: 4. The objects of the SCIO are to advance animal welfare by preventing or relieving the suffering of stray animals in Peru in particular by-- (a) promoting and supporting education, sterilisation and adoption programmes which will benefit abandoned dogs and cats and reduce the number of unwanted dog and cat litters in the streets. and (b) financing the treatment of animals that have been rescued from the streets.
