The Trust’s main purpose is consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development. The Trust’s purposes are: a) The advancement of community development through supporting people and community groups to identify and articulate their needs, then take practical action to address those needs. Thereby improving the quality of life for the whole community. b) The advancement of community development through providing financial support to other community groups where such support addresses an identifiable community need, or would result in identifiable benefits to the community as a whole. c) To promote, encourage and help provide recreational facilities and activities for residents in the community and visitors thereto. d) The advancement of education, health and well-being. and e) The advancement of environmental protection and improvement.
Objectives: The Trust has been formed to benefit the community of Beauly as defined by the Highland Councils School Catchment Area for Beauly Primary School ('the Community'), with the Purposes listed in clause 5 below ('the Purposes'), to be exercised following the principles of sustainable development (where sustainable development means development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs). The Trust's main purpose is consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development.
