We create inclusive, intergenerational gardens within school grounds that are open to both pupils and the wider community. Through a dedicated Liaison Teacher, the garden is used during the school day as a curriculum learning space, and outside school hours for volunteering, workshops and community activity. This role builds trusted relationships with children, families and local residents, enabling meaningful and sustained engagement. Our model brings communities into schools, creating shared spaces that support mental wellbeing, reduce isolation, build skills and encourage connection with nature. We are currently piloting this approach with the aim of scaling it to other schools and communities.", "objectives": "1.
