**Purposes:** 'the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended'

**What the charity does:** Enable public participation in recreational and community activities including boating, yachting, caravanning, camping and a love of nature. Operate a 43 berth marina and 6 pitch touring park. Maintain a community building (including meeting space, kitchen and public toilets) with disabled access for use by the local community and visitors, as there are no other community facilities for the general public to pursue maritime activities or camping in the local area.  Our recreational facilities will enable people to come together to enjoy boating and fishing, especially for younger people - to learn and practice maritime skills which are a vital part of our Shetland culture and heritage. The recreational facilities will help to reduce social isolation and to increase physical and mental wellbeing.

**Objectives:** The organisation's purpose is the provision of a recreational facility which will facilitate public participation in boating, yachting, caravanning, camping and all other recreational activities.
