The assets of Erskine Community Ajlotments Sc046634 were transferred to Erskine Community Allotments Sc052678 on registrth'on. It has a two tj'er structure and as such. the trustees are also members of the Chanty. Prior to registration the Charity previously operated 8s Lamont Gardens, with the assets of Lamont Gardens transferred to the Erskine Community Allolments Sc046634 on registration. Appolntment of trustees The Board. which normally meets on th8 se(x)nd SurKlay of &qch month, are tho Charity's trustees. Membership of the management committee is open to 811 members. Trustees are elected at the annual general rr￿Ing by its Members which are held in November. The annual judging of the 811otments c£Jntinue as a bit of fun and enjoyment for ttr plot holders and 2 extemal independent judges cary out the judging for us. Pbt Judging took place in late July this year and the judges noticed a rise in standards of plots from th8 previous year. Our Polycrub (Poly tunnel) still proves to be a maf•sive asset to the Charity and h88 been well used. So much so that space is 8t 8 premium V*ith more and more members wishing to U8e rt to grthv tomato88. chillies aubergines and a fig tre•. We had 8 request early in 2025 from Ihe BBC Prc*Juction Team who wer8 looking for an ollotment site again for filming an episode of a television programme around JulylAugu8t and as they had already used our site previously asked if we thDuld be able to accommodate their request. The filming took place in August and we all found it interestiro walching the filming bth'ng carried out arKI meeting the film crew and actors and look forward to watching the final resuft when it is released on TV in 2028. Our Annual Open Day was held on 6 September 2025. We use the Open Day as our main of raising funds for improving the allotment site and any surplus fresh fruit and vegetables are distributed to groups WIK) SUPPOrt those in need ones the Open Day 13 over. Achlevements and Perf(wmance In 2023 application was made lo Renfrewshire Counal fly a Communty Asset Transfer and approval vrds granted in January 2024 to prcceed with the transfer of ownership for the allotment srte and an adjacent wece of ground for it to cJ)m8 under ¢Mership of the allotment site which will ensure the secunty of the charity as we ve forward and negotiation has ￿ntInued through and passed to our auditor for verification. We will continue with our Secretary as acting Treasurer and l as Chairperson looking afier the financial arrangements until we are able to apFrf)int a treasurer. The gr￿P are happy for this to continue for as long as necAssary. Reserves policy The trustses, policy is to retain £500 in order to meet cornmitrnents and to cover any unexpected expenditure. The trU￿eeS believe that this is an acceptable range but will continue to monitor the position. Plans for future period The Community Asset Transfer buy out continued thr(KJgh 2025 between our solicitors and the Council's legal services, Ihere has been several delays in the legal process due to Council staffing. It has n(yw been indicated it will be probably be the end of 20251beginning of January 2026 before the transfer will tske placed. on￿ the Communty Asset Transfer is completed we hope to start fundraising and applying for grants to start work on what wll be the extension to the allotments and build 24 raised starter beds to enable us to bn.ng in another 24 members to join us in grohing food. Wé received funding late October 2024 to en8ble us to upgrade one of the plots with Iwo large r8ised beds which is going to be offered free of charge to either early leaming centres, schools or rf possible to people suffering from Dementia groups. Depending on weather corKlitions this project was completed early 2025. We are all looking fo(ward to the ne￿ challenges next year. We will be scheduling dates in 2025 for.
