The Trustees take pleasure in presenting their report and accounts for the year ended 30 June 2025.
## **Charitable Purpose and objective**
The Consilium Sports Group Foundation exists for charitable purposes only. Its charitable purpose, in compliance with the requirements of The Office of Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR), is the advancement of public participation in sport.
The charity’s specific objective is to support young people’s participation in their chosen sport who may be being held back by their financial situation, social circumstances or ethnicity.
In line with the charity’s Strategy and Business Plan, support to individuals will be provided by means of grants which will be awarded direct to individuals and not distributed via third party bodies. Over time, the charity aims to be supporting a diverse range of individuals, of different ages, across various sports and levels of ability.
## **Activities, achievements and future plans**
During this year, the Charity increased its disposable funds further by holding a successful Sports Luncheon in September 2024. The event was attended by c200 people, helping to increase the profile of the Charity significantly, which was supplemented by new social media activity. The additional net funds raised by this key event enabled the Charity, in line with its stated objectives, to make its first grant distributions to young sporting athletes in February 2025.
In preparation for issuing grants, extensive work was carried out to establish appropriate processes for targeting the specific type of individuals the Charity is aiming to support. This involved liaising with schools, sports bodies and other regulated charities. £6,200 was awarded in initial grants to four applicants in February 2025, which was a major milestone for the Charity.
The Charity is on track to issue similar levels of grants in September 2025 in a further tranche of awards. Further fund raising activity will be required in 2025/26 to keep the Charity evolving in line with its plans and enable further grants to be awarded in Spring 2026.
## **Structure and governance**
The Consilium Sports Group Foundation (CSGF) Charity is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (a SCIO). It was registered in its current legal form on 13 June 2023. It is a single tier structure and, as such, the Trustees are also the Members of the Charity. It is governed by its constitution document.

## **Recruitment and appointment of Trustees**
In line with its constitution document, appropriate Trustees shall be identified and appointed by the Trustee Board and all Trustees shall be subject to rotation and re-appointment, by Members, at its Annual General Meeting. There must be a minimum of 3 Trustees and a maximum of 7.
## **Reserves**
The Trustees agreed to maintain a level of reserves of £10,000, as a minimum amount, that would allow the charity to continue with supporting its planned activities as well as, in unforeseen circumstances, enabling the charity to wind up in an orderly manner. The Trustees consider the level of cash fund, at year end, to be an adequate amount.

The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) 2005 Act and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended). The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1) (d) of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1) (c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and, consequently, I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention
1. which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements:
- to keep accounting records in accordance with section 44(1) (a) of the 2005 Act and Regulation 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations, and
- to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations
have not been met, or
2. to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

## **1. Basis of accounting**
These accounts have been prepared on the Receipts and Payments basis in accordance with the Charities & Trust Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) regulations 2006 (as amended).
## **2. Nature and purpose of funds**
All funds are unrestricted.
Unrestricted funds are those that may be used by the trustees in furtherance of the objects of the charity. The trustees maintain a single unrestricted fund for the day to day running of the charity.
## **3. Fundraising Income**
Fundraising Income of £40,930 was received by the Trust from a Sports Luncheon.
