Wigtown BowitnE Club was estsbti8hed in 1830. making it one of the oldest bowling clubs in
ScotLand. Itv￿3 origin8Uy laid out in the square's"piantation" area. vthich had been enclosed in
1809 88 a public Earden space. ￿ the tum ofthe ts%Entieth century. this area was largety
dedicated to bowls end tennis, embedding our club deeply in thetown's heritage.
