Goan Community of Aberdeen (GCA) is a non-profit organisation committed to nurturing a vibrant and inclusive community. We bring together individuals from diverse backgrounds to support, challenge, inspire, and uplift one another through shared culture and values. GCA is governed by board members and trustees and hold Annual General Meetings every 12–15 months to review progress, elect board members, and plan future activities. We aim to continue raising funds through community events to support local parishes, charities, Food Banks and individuals in need. GCA remains committed to promoting Goan culture and contributing to a vibrant, diverse society. Our Mission: We are united in spirit and committed to preserving and celebrating Goan traditions, beliefs, and culture. Our goal is to pass this rich heritage on to future generations in Aberdeen and beyond, while promoting unity, diversity, and social responsibility.

Objectives: The organisation's purposes are: To improve and advance the lives of those who live and work in the community of Aberdeen and overseas through- the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture, or science through increasing public exposure to, and appreciation of Goan art, culture, heritage, dance, music, food, drama (play & movie) festivals, etc the relief of poverty through fundraising to support local food banks and overseas organisations with a similar charitable purpose. In furtherance of these purposes the organisation will then. Increase public exposure to, appreciation of, or involvement in the arts. Raise funds, receive grant and donations. Apply funds to carry out the work of the charity. Co-operate with and support other charities with similar purposes. Do anything which is lawful and necessary to achieve the purposes. Reaching out to new audiences through events, exercise sessions. Providing opportunities for participation. Encouraging high standards by raising artistic skills and nurturing talent. Create Inclusion so that the people of Aberdeen and surrounding areas experience the diversity of cultures surrounding us and learn new things. Help everyone appreciate different cultures, backgrounds, and lifestyles.
