To provide a zero waste and local produce shop facility in Mallaig for the people of Mallaig and the surrounding communities. To provide community spaces for learning, health and wellbeing and community activities. To provide volunteering opportunities in both the community shop and community hub spaces.
Objectives: The organisation's purposes are: (a) To advance citizenship and community development for the benefit of the community defined by the Mallaig, Morar, Arisaig and Small Isles community council areas by delivering a diverse variety of services and initiatives (largely via the re-opening of a community shop and hub) (b) To advance education and learning by providing rentable capacity for workshops, training sessions and courses in the community of Mallaig. (c) Advancement of recreational facilities of the organisation and to provide capacity for recreational activities to improve the conditions of life of all the inhabitants of the Mallaig, Morar, Arisaig and Small Isles community council areas with particular reference to the opening of a community shop with additional multi-purpose activity.
