Buckie Men’s Shed was formed in February 2023 with the ambition of gathering men together for support and to alleviate loneliness, isolation and mental fatigue. We have helped out in the community and with the community. We have already supported local primary schools within our area and they have benefited from our manpower and resources. Buckie Men’s Shed was created to help fill an identified gap in social provision for men in the local area. Statistics from the Buckie 2011 Census shows that Buckie has an above national average of men over 65 and an above average of one person households. Other nearby towns have set up successful Men’s Sheds and are seeing the benefits for both the men taking part and in the wider community. We operate from premises at 19a High Street, Buckie. We regularly meet socially where our members can meet others and so alleviate loneliness and generally enhance their quality of life.
