Energy Sport & STEM is a single tier Scotlish Charitable
Incorporated Organisalion {SCIO) governed by its constitution.
The charity trustees are responsible for the overall governance
and managemenl of the charity and for ensuring that the
charity acts in accordance with its charitable purposes.
Trustea re¢rultment and appolntment The board structure remained consistent with the charity's conslilulion
during the year. In May 2024, KITslen stepped down from the board and
David Anderson was appointed as Infraslruclure Lead.
DLJring the year, the charity also SOLJghl lo strengthen Iruslee capacity
through skills development. The Sports Lead attended a number of ¢harily
training events lo build knowl&dge and good pra¢ti¢e, and the charity
improved its IT capability through nèw software supporl from Mlcrosoft.
Charitable purposes
The charity's purposes remained unchanged during the
reporting period..
lo advance public participation in sport- and
lo provide recreational facilities for the community
while also using sport as a platform lo engage people in
STEM related activity in an accessible and inclusive way.

The main activity during the year was the delivery of the
Energy Festival, held on the North Inch in Perth on 27 and 28
July 2024.
The festival provided free and inclusive opportunities for the
public to take part in sport, recreational activity and STEM
engagement. The programme included..

The Energy Festival 2024 was the charity's principal achievement durlng
the reprjrting period.
The event allracled over 4,000 allendees across the week8nd and
delivered a wide range ol free opportunities fc>r participation in sport and
STEM aclivily.

Financlal review
Brief statoment of the Charity's policy
on reserves
The charity had planned to build a larger reserve during the
financial year. However, this was limited by reduced income.
The trustees intend to address this through planning and
income development in the next financial year.
Closing reserves at 3010412025 were £8,362. An increase on
Ihe prior year of £8,014.

The funds were essentially used lo Greate the annual Energy Festival.
To enable the aims of the charity in combatting obesily and improving
health through furthering access to sport and recreation activities, the
annual event provldes a free to access sport and STEM festival for
over 4000 Pèople. TO deliver the festival in an open park, toilets, waste
management, infrastructure, safety management, licensing and
entertainment is required. The funds are used lo enable this 2 day
festival for the benefit of the community at large.
