**Purposes:** &#x27;the advancement of education&#x27;,&#x27;the advancement of public participation in sport&#x27;,&#x27;the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended&#x27;

**What the charity does:** The Charity owns and leases the water and facilities at Bardowie Loch including clubhouse and storage buildings to the Clyde Cruising Club Dinghy Section.  In addition it provides funding to individual young sailors who wish to progress with their sailing skills both in the UK and overseas.  It also supports sailing for young people and disabled sailors via Sailability Scotland and the Ocean Youth Trust Scotland.    We disburse funds after a request for support is made to the Trustees and the decision is taken by Trustees on the level of support to be offered.

**Beneficiaries:** &#x27;No specific group, or for the benefit of the community&#x27;

**Objectives:** 4.1. To advance the education of the public, and in particular without prejudice to the generality thereof, to increase and disseminate the knowledge and practice of seamanship and the knowledge of good design of sailing and motor craft and equipment, with a view to improving safety at sea and in coastal and inland waters.   4.2. To provide facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupations particularly connected with sailing, for young people, especially those from deprived areas, in the interest of social welfare and with the object of improving the conditions of life of such persons.   4.3. To organise courses and recreational activities and provide special equipment to enable disabled people to sail.   4.4. To advance the education of the public in the science and practice of pilotage and coastal and ocean navigation.   4.5. To advance the education of the public in order to assist in the preservation of craft, property and navigational and other records of significance in connection with the sea and sailing.   4.7 to provide direct or indirect financial support to charitable projects, schemes and/or ventures. and   4.8 to pursue any other purpose that may reasonably be regarded as analogous to the Objects.
