The SCIO was set up by
on the request of the existing
trustees and was recognised as a Scottish charity with effect from 18th
Apr 2023.
The SCIO is currently managed and run voluntarily by the current
trustees.
The trustees were those appointed on the establishment of the SCIO and
represent the minimum number required. Appointment and removal is in
accordance with the constitution which requires that appointment is
approved by unanimous agreement of the existing trustees and removal of
any trustee by the unanimous agreement of the others.

The purpose of the charity is to provide foot healthcare services to those
experiencing homelessness across Dundee and Angus
The main activities of our SCIO is to provide and deliver footcare services
for people who are experiencing homelessness. Our footcare practitioner
and trustee Elaine Mckay. Elaine’s services are all provided free of chare
to people and provides this service in her own clinic and at the Eagles
Wings Trust charity in Dundee.
Dundee Street Feet offers the following services:

Routine care including toe cutting, and general foot hygiene.

Signposting to emergency care where people need specific
treatment for things like athletes’ foot, bunions and infections.

When we are in a position to do so, the charity will maintain a reserves
policy to ensure financial stability and sustainability. The policy will outline
the level of reserves needed. We will regularly review our reserves and
policy to ensure it meets our operational needs.

Eagles Wings Trust throughout the year has provided us with a venue for
our foot practitioner to undertake foot care services to homeless people in
Dundee.

We will be working this year towards generating funds to do more of what we need to do to help the homeless with their foot health.
