Prior to that date it was an informal group. For governance and planning il rneets on a monthly basis wrth meetings attended by both committee EMberS and wider volunteers. Aims and objectives The advanMent of environmentsl protection and improvement in Aberdour, Frfe and the surrounding area, by reducing our greenhouse gas emission and adapting to the impact of dimate change - by protecting and enhancing our biodiversity reducirNJ our wider environmentsl impact empowering and increasing the resilien of individuals to enable them to taka action to tackle climate change by undertaking education, communty activities, support for carbon reduction. CampanIng, a1 carrying out direct carbon reduction activities Summary ofthe main achlevements during the perlod Awareness Raising and Promotlng Acllon Various activities were held in the village including takirKJ part in the Aberdour Fesbval. We continued to show climate action films funded by the Frfe Climate Action Network. Household energy efficiency and rgn•wables The decision was made not to proceed with a group purchasing scheme for heat pumps 8UPPOrted by Local Energy Scolland 51nGe It was consldered that the resources available were not sufficient. Small scale demonstrations have continued prornoting energy efficiency and the installakn.on of zero cartx)n heab"ng.
