As a regional radio station we have a broadcast and recording studio that is also our office premises. We run the radio station Argyll FM, broadcast to the public at large, and run occasional relevant events.
Objectives: Objects 2) The company's objects are: a) The provision of a recreational facility and the organisation of recreational activities across Argyll in the form of community media, with the object of improving the conditions of life for those who have access to it, as well as advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science, the advancement of education and the promotion of community cohesion and development through: i) the operation of the independent local radio station 'Argyll FM', broadcast to the public at large. ii) The operation of community media initiatives in other forms that may include Web-based, television, print or mixed media. iii) Ensuring that the output of its community media initiatives cater for the people of Argyll and is relevant to those who live in this region, unlike the output of mainstream conventional media providers. iv) Working to reduce social isolation and exclusion for the people of Argyll through both involvement in and access to its community media initiatives. v) Providing opportunities for the teaching, learning, and practising of skills in media production and broadcasting. vi) Providing opportunities for the promotion of local musical and other creative talent. 3) The company?s objects are restricted to those set out in article 2 (but subject to article 4). 4) The company may (subject to first obtaining the consent of OSCR) add to, remove or alter the statement of the company?s objects in article 2. on any occasion when it does so, it must give notice to the registrar of companies (Companies House) and the amendment will not be effective until that notice is registered on the register of companies
