**What the charity does:** The Isle of Bute Seasports Club (SCIO) is set up to encourage use of the water by the residents of our island.  Many people live their lives here with the only on water experience provided by the Calmac ferries.  We do this by providing safe, low cost environments for sailing, rowing, open water swimming and kayaking from our facility.

**Beneficiaries:** 'No specific group, or for the benefit of the community'

**Objectives:** To facilitate and encourage community participation in healthy recreation by the provision of facilities for amateur seasports in all its forms.   In furthering those purposes, the organisation will also seek to: promote safety on the water. provide training for the community. encourage and promote good sportsmanship on the water and onshore and promote respect and care for the marine environment.  To always promote inclusion and equality within the whole community.
