Statement of Dlrectors. Responsibilities
The Directors (who are also Iruslees of Speymouth Environmental Partnership) are ￿SpOnsible for preparing
the Directors, report and the financial statements in accordance with the United Kingdom Accounting Standards
{Uniled Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice) and applicable law and Tegulalions.
The financial statements comply with the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotlandl Act 2005, the
the Charities Accounts IScotland} Regulations 2006 las amended), the Companies A¢t 2006, the
Memorandum and Articles of Association, and Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of
Recommended Practice applicable lo charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial
Reporting Standard applicable in the UK IFRS 1021.
In preparing these financial statements the offi'cials are required lo..

The Directors are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with Teasonable
accuracy, al any lime, the financial position of the Company and lo enable them lo ensure that the
Financial Statements comply with section 221 of the Companies Act 2006. They are also responsible
for safe-guarding the assets of the Company and hence for18king reasonable steps for the prevention
and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

Actlvltles and Performance
During the financial year lo 31 August, 2025, the Company carried out ils objectives as slated in the Articles
of Association and in its Registration with OSCR. The objectives for which the Partnership is established
are for the benefit of the local communities living and working within the area of the Speymoulh and Bellie
Parishes and the public generally to promote the wise and sustainable use and conservation of the
resources of the River Spey and (where it has an imp8cI on the foregoing) the land surrounding the River
Spey and the Spey Bay coast line. {For the purposes of Article 3 (Objectsl, There were changes in directors
during the year -Scoll Robert Morrison was appointed from 17th May 2025 and Alexander John Henderson
resigned on 25th October 2025,1 this was after the year end bul before the financial slalemenls are signed

The Partnership continues to gather scientific evidence to promote and prove its objectives while trying lo
source more funding for the carrying out of the objectives, which are to put Soft engineeiing works in place
on the River Spey at Garmouth lo reduce the impact of flooding.

Flnanclal Revlew
The Company h88 raised total income for the year ol £950 {2024 £6.6161. Expenditure
lor the year amounted to £60312024 £6,536) giving a surplus of £347 transferred lo reseryes.
Reserves policy
The Balance Sheet shows unreslriGled funds of £437 at the year end.
The charity only spends on projects which are grant relaled.

I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31 sl Au9usI 2025 which are set out on
pages 6 to 9.
RESPECTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES OF DIRECTORS WHO ARE ALSO THE TRUSTEESAND
INDEPENDENT EXAMINER
The charitable company's directors are responsible for the preparallon of the accounts in accordance with the
tem)s of the Charities and Trustees Investment {Scollandl Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotlandl
Regulations 2006 las amended) and the Companies Act 2006, th8 Memorandum and Article5 of Association,
and Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities
preparing their accounts in accoldance with the Financial Reporting Standard, applicable in the UK IFRS102}.
The charitable company'5 directors consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10 {11 lal lo Icl of the
Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under
section 44111 (cl of the Act and lo slate whether particular matters have come lo my attention.
BASIS OF INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S STATEMENT
My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts Iseolland)
Regulations 200S (as amended). An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the
charitable company and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records.11 also includes
consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanations from the directOTS
concerning any such mallers. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be
required in an audit, and Consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S STATEMENT
In the course of my examination, no matter has come lo my attention..

Basis of Accounting
The Accounts are presented in Sterling £ and have been prepared on the historical cost basis of
of accounting and in accordan￿ with the Charities Accounts (Scollandl Regulations, the Companies
Act 2006, and Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of Recommended Practice
applicable to charities preparing IheiT accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard
applicable in the UK IFRS1021.
Incoming resources
All incoming resources are included in the Statement of Financial Activities ISOFAI when the charity
is legally entitled lo the income after any performance conditions have been mel. The amount Can be
measured reliably and it is probable that the income will be received.
All incoming resources are slated in the financial statements at their gross value.
Donations or legacies.. income received by way of grant or donations is included when receivable.
Where entitlement is Gondilional on the delivery of a specific performance by the ch8ri18ble
company the income is only recognised when the entitlement lo the grant becomes unconditional.
Resources expondod
Expenditure is recognised once there is a legal or Constructive obligation to make a payment to a
third party, il is probable that selllemenl will be required and the amount of the obligation can be
measured reliably. Expendi(ure is Classified under the following headings..
Charltable actlvlties.. are those costs incurred by the charitable company in the dèlivery of its
activities and services. 11 includes both costs that can be allocated directly lo those activities and
costs of a necessarily indirect nature to supwrt delivery. This includes governance expenditure
which ale those costs associated with meeting the constitutional and statutory requirements
of the charitable company, and include the fees of the independent examiner and all
management costs.
Going concern
The financial slalements have been prepared on a going concern basis, which the directors
believe to be appropriate lor the reasons set out in the Directors, Report.
Financial instrumgnts
A financial asset or a financial liability is recognised only when the charity becomes a party lo the
conlraclual provisions of the instrument. Basic financial instruments are inilially recognised at the
amount receivable or payable including and related transaction costs. Current assets and current
liabilities are subsequently measured in cash or other considerab'on expected lo be paid or reeeived
and not discounted.
