Carronshore Heritage Forum is a community-led charity established to preserve and promote the history of Carronshore while strengthening community spirit within the village. Its aim is to celebrate local heritage, create educational opportunities, and bring residents together through inclusive projects and events. The Forum achieves this by delivering practical heritage and community initiatives, including installing historical information boards, developing local heritage trails, and creating memorials such as the Carronshore War Memorial to honour those who served in the world wars. It also organises community activities and events—such as talks, coffee mornings, festive celebrations and social gatherings—to encourage participation and reduce social isolation. In furtherance of these purposes the organisation will: promote and enhance the History of Carronshore village and the surrounding Bothkennar area by bringing forward visual/cosmetic enhancements to the area. educate the residents on the history of the village from an agricultural hub into a thriving Industrial village linked to Carron Ironworks with 4 coal pits. docks for barges and a railway line running through it. holding regular community activities inviting the community to attend to bring everyone together.
