Purpose  2.1 The Society's purpose shall be to undertake, promote and support the study of the antiquities, history, archaeology and natural history of East Lothian. 2.2 Through doing so, the Society shall serve to advance the appreciation of the heritage, history, arts, culture and science of East Lothian. 2.3 The purpose shall be carried out through the Society's activities or services, either acting on its own or in partnership with other persons or bodies holding similar purposes as the Society.
