Campy Growers - A place to grow. Creating a natural and healthy food culture through cultivation, conservation and community
Camperdown Growing Collective (known as Campy Growers) is the lar community growing space in Dundee. We are a registered charity {6C SCO52258) working in partnership with Dundee City Council at the heary of Camperdown Country Park. Previously the site of the council nursery,| Campy. Growers sits on 8 acres of previously degraded land, 2 acres of which have been cultivated by our dedicated staff team, volunteers, partners and truste the last 3 years. We are proud of the progress we have made so far in the cre of this urban community food garden using sustainable methods of growin enhance the environment, local food production and to work positively with community. We provide fresh veg and fruit to local community centres and lard offer opportunities to learn new skills (food growing, sustainable practices, carg bike training and DIY to name but a few) as well as a beautiful location to appreciate the natural world. We welcome visitors from Monday - Saturday, with dedicated volunteer sessions on Fridays and Saturdays. Please feel free to come and visit us!
Our charitable purposes are:

e To advance education and skills, particularly related to food (growing cooking, eating) and by developing and hosting land based educational programmes and courses such as gardening and environmental activities.

Staff and Trustees
New staff member in the ongoing Lead Gardener position in January 2024 The Development Worker position went from 3 to 4 days a week from February The Project Coordinator position ended in June 29024 2 part-time staff joined the team for a month as seasonal gardeners in June 2024 A handy person/van driver joined the team in June 2024 A CLD student joined the team for 6 months from August 2924
The Board of Trustees met monthly throughout 2024 to oversee the charity's activities and ensure alignment with our charitable objectives. During the year, we welcomed five new trustees and three members stepped down. Trustees are recruited through open advertisement and approaches to individuals with relevant skills and experience.For more details please see page 8

Basis of accounting
These financial statements have been prepared on the receipts and payments basis in accordance with the Charities & Trustees Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts {Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended).

Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotlarid) 2005 Act and the Charities Accounts (Scatland) Regulations 2006. The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(2) (d) of the Account Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1) (c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of Independent Examiner’s statement
My examination ts carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006, An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and, consequently, | do not express an audit opinion on the accounts,
