**Objectives:** 'The objects of the Trust shall be the clearance and demolition of slum dwelling-houses and the provision of suitable accommodation for re-housing the displaced occupants of slum property in Dundee, and failing them, other persons residing or wishing to take up residence in Dundee, being either members of the working classes or persons whose circumstances are not better than those of members of the working classes, or persons who, although not living in houses which the Corporation (now Dundee City Council) consider unfit for human habitation, are living under such circumstances as in the opinion of the Dundee City Council are prejudicial to the health of the community or the individual (the displaced occupants and others foresaid being hereinafter referred to as 'the beneficiaries'), and that at rents reasonably within the capacity of the beneficiaries to pay'
