**What the charity does:** The United Yemeni Community in Scotland (UYCS) has implemented several initiatives under the Enhanced Recovery Resilience (ER²) project, aimed at improving mental wellbeing, strengthening community resilience, and addressing challenges related to poverty and inequality.

**Objectives:** 4 The organisation?s purposes are:  4.1The advancement of education by establishing the Yemeni School in Scotland to teach Arabic and English language and authentic Yemeni heritage, customs, and traditions of the Yemeni and Scottish community&#x27;.  4.2 The advancement of citizenship or community development of recently arrived migrant Yemeni and refugees, asylum seekers and students, introducing their rights and duties in the country of immigration, and helping them to adapt and coexist in the new environment.  To provide empowerment and capacity building support as a means of tackling isolation and promoting integration and active citizenship&#x27;.  4.3 The advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science to promote diversity and integration through arranging training workshops, performances and promoting dance, arts, science, sports, food, poetry,  cultural and community activities and in doing so also encouraging and building the confidence in adults, children, and youths&#x27;.  4.4 To prevent or relief of poverty through initiating and facilitating humanitarian assistance and support to refugees and asylum seekers, in particular Yemeni refugees and asylum seekers, in Scotland.  4.5 To advance and promote other similar charitable purposes.
