Activities and Achievements
Coastwatch West Fife (SCIO) is operating out of and running from our own trailer (lookout station), current situated at North Queensferry Harbour, whilst continuing to help maintain the Personal Life Saving Equipment around the Dalgety Bay Coastline all year round for the local communities, coastal path walkers and water users. Later in March 2025 we relocated to North Queensferry Battery Road Car Park which provided us with a better view on coastal safety and monitoring.
Our membership is sitting at 8 members, and we are still recruiting for Watchkeepers and First Aiders.

Early 2025 the charity was successful in becoming an Accredited Royal Yachting Association - Recognised Training Centre, to help and provide various RYA Qualifications to our members and that of the local community, with the support of external instructors, (Simon Ingram and Luke Rendall).
We received a Donation from Youth 1st Action to help us develop and teach the youth members within our catchment area on Coastal Safety, First Aid, Water Safety etc.
We have undertaken 3 Community First Aid Events this year and have completed 6 ‘Accredited First Aid Courses’. As well as provided 2 classroom based courses and 6 online delegates to achieve their Short Range Certificate in Marine Radio accredited by the Royal Yachting Association.
We are looking forward to continuing our services to the communities and supporting the work of HM Coastguard to ensure safety along the West Fife Coastline. A s

BASIS OF INDEPENDENT EXAMINERS STATEMENT
My examination is carried out in accordance with the Regulations. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by Coastwatch West Fife (SCIO) and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records.
The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently | do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts. | do not accept responsibility to anyone other than Coastwatch West Fife (SCIO) members as a body, for my work and this report.
Independent Examiners Report:
In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
-
(1) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect, the requirements to:
-
(a) to keep accounting records in accordance with the Regulations, and
-
(b) to prepare accounts which agree with the accounting records and comply with the Regulations have not been met, or
-
(2) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
