**What the charity does:** To provide unpaid voluntary sea and inland water rescue services in East Sutherland and elsewhere in addition to other rescue services. (See section B 2 (ii))

**Objectives:** 4 The organisation's purposes is the saving of lives which will be achieved through:- (i) the formation, training and equipment of a specialised rescue group within the East Sutherland and Easter Ross areas with the ability to assist the Marine & Coastguard Agency, the police and other rescue organisations in any type of operation as and when required, (ii)  the encouragement of public support and interest in the maintenance of local voluntary rescue facilities.
