structure, governance and management

Aberdeen Orpheus Choir was recognised as a Scottish
Charitable Incorporated Orga nisation with effect from 20
October 2022. Administration is in accordance with the
terms ofthe Constrtution.
Trustee recruitn*nt and appointment
The twstees are those appointed at the Annual General
Meeting on 4 June 2025. Appointment and removal is in
accordance with the Constitution which requires thal
appointment is approved at the Annual General Meeting or
by co-option by the existing Trustees. No remuneration was
paid to any Trustee or connected person during the year.
Objectives and activities
Charltablè purposès
The purpose of the charity is to advance the art and Scien￿ of
choral music and to develop and maintain public education in,
and appreciation of chora I m usic in all its aspects through the
study of choral music and the giving of public performanc£s of
the music studied.
SunNMary of the main activities
In relation to these objects
Regular meetings ofthe members ofthe choir to study choral
music, and public performancÉs of choral music. The choir
encourages young musicians by inviting them to perform at the
cOn￿rtS.

Achievements and performance
Sunmnary of the main achievements of
the charity during the financial period
Concerts were performed in Skene Parish Church on 17 May
2024 and in Cults Parish Church on 8 December 2024. The
total gross proceeds from these performances were donated to
charity.
Concerts were performed in Mannofield Parish Church on 25
May 2024 and 14 December 2024.

unrestricted funds, which represent income earned but not yet
utilised in supporting charitable activities.
