Basls of prnparatlon
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accord8n¢e wrth FRS
102, The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland las applied to
small entllitrs by section 1A of the s18ndardl.
Turno
Tumover Is measured al the f8ir valuo of the consideration received or receivable, nel of discounts
and value added tax¢s. Tumover in¢lud&s rgvtrnue earned from the sale of goods and from the
rend8rin9 of services. Turnover from ihe sale of goods is recognlsed when Ihe sIgn￿lCant risks and
r&wards of ownership of the goods have transferred to the buyer. Tumover from the rendering of
servicas is recognis6d by releret)ce to the staga ol compl8tlon of tha contra¢l. The sta9& of
ompletion of a contract is measured by comparing the costs incurred for work perfornied to date to
the total estimatad contract eosts.

Debtors
Short tgrm debtors are measured at transaction price (which is usually the invO￿e pricel, less any
impairment losses lor bad and doubrful debts. Loans and other financial assèts arè initially
recognised al transaction price including any transaction costs and subsequenly measured al
amortised cost detem)ined using th$ eff$ctive intsrost melhod, 1985 any impairment losses for bad

A current tsx liability is recognised for the tax payable on the taxable profit of the current and past
periods. A current tax asset is recognised in respect of 8 lax loss that can be carried b8ck lo

btheen the recognition of income and exp&nses in the financial ststements and their inclusion in

other future taxable profits. Deferred tax is measured using the lax rates and laws that hav8 been

Foreign ¢urren¢y translation

of the transaction. At the end of each ￿porting period foreign currency monetary rtems are
transL2ted at the closing rate of exchange. Non-monetary items that are measured al historical Cost
are translated al the r8te njling at the date of the transaction. Al difforencès are charged to profit or
loss.
Leas8d assets
A lease is classified as a finance lease rf it transfers substantially all tt)e risks and rewards in¢idental
to t)wnership. Al other leases are clas$bf￿d 8$ operating leases. The rights of use and obligations
undèr flnance leases are inllially ￿COun1Sed as assets and liabilities al amounts equal to Ihe fair

lease payments are apportioned between the finance chargé and the rèduction in the outstanding
