Structure ove nce and Mana ment The Charity is a Scottish Charitable Incorporaled Organisation {SCIOI.11 was registered in its current legal form on 12 October 2022 at which date the assets of Ihe unincorForated organisation were transferred to the SCIO It has a single lier structure and as suckn the trustees are the members of the thanty. Charftable Ob'ectives an Ji The Churth's purpose is the advancement of the Chrisban faith, and in furtherance of this.. To advance the Chrisb'an faith in accordance with the Statement of Beliets. in such parts of Portree, SD)tland or the wodd as the Trustees may from time to time think fit and to fulfil such other purposes which are exdusively charitable according to the law of Scotland and are connected with the charitable work of the tharity. To benefit the public by the furtherance of Evangelistic and othef Christian work in Portree and throughout the wortd. To advance Chrisb'anity through preathing, leaching and public4sing the Christian faith as revealed in the bible. To relieve or assist those in spiritual. physiGqI or emotional need in such parts of Portree. ScLJlland and the wodd as the Trustees may from time to time think fil. Trustees and nisational tructure The Church is independent and non-denominational. The Trustees are responsible for the Church's govemance and engage the services of a support farilitalor to assist with aspeL#s of Ihe administration and operational duties involved in the running of the church. The Leadership team (separate to the Trusteés) are responsible for the spiritual direction and vision of the church. weekly services, and the organising of community and outreach events.
ointment of Trustees The Trustees normally meet monthly. Trustees are elected at the AGM. Prior to appoinlment, Trustees would have served the thurch for some time in various roles and would be familiar with the church's values, aims, objective5 and operations. There must be a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 8 Trustees. As part of their induction, Trustees are required to understand their statutory responsibilities and are refeed to the OSCR publi(£ts'on, Guidance and Good Pra(#ice for charity Trustees. Actlv X(l Churth conducts weekly family thurch services open to public att6ndants to promde Biblical based leaching and communal worship. A programme of events is rnn in the community throughout the year engaging adLtits, youth and children. Funds are raised through donations for the furtheran of Cttnstian work in the local MMunity and around the worfd via missionary organis8tions. The church and its assouates support directly and indifedly other local community groups in areas such as Young Carers. Achievements and Perfomiance Weekly Church serwces together with Crethè, Sunday S(ool and Youth programmes provide biblically based teaching, guidance and training. SeNces and faolities have been provided voluntsrily to regular attendèes and all members of the local community. XCEI Church has throughout the period served thè wider community as a centre for bibli1 ministy, spiritual support and guidance, in addition to prOding public seNr2s at Easter and Chri5trnas, induding a Light up a Lifè Carol Service in aid of Highland Ho$picE. Opportunities for use of the Gathering Hall in a suk>letts'ng capacity have conts'nued on an ad hoc basis in support of community groups. local charities and individuals. generats'ng charitable receipts and donations in accordance with the thaiitable objectives. Outreach to the local ummunity has incorporated public events induding a Wnterwonderfand Family day, in addition to local cDmmunity gatherings, children's actiwties and on occasion practical support to those in crisis, deprivalron or other areas of spiritual, emotional or physical need. This also includes The Keys Projed, a Recovery Group where those in addirtion can participats in a recovery mrnunty. through weekly groups and peer support. induding medical liaison and practical supporL Interest in mission work throughout the UK and the wodd has continued with ongoing support and donations provided to Compassion and Blythswood. Prin¢l I ources of Fundln The thurth receives its funding from church attendees and visitors by way of offerings and donations induding Gift Aid donations. Charitable reiptS are generated from the ad hoc rental and use of the Gathering Hall by local charities, community groups. organisations and individua15 eg weddings. rant Makin ollc The church makes grants from its income to individuals and organisations, gènerally known to the Tfustees and the church. The benefiriaries are involved in a"tieS or ministries compatible with the thurch's objectives.
