**What the charity does:** The young people and families who attend are predominately neurodivergent and struggling in mainstream school or in society in general. They find it difficult to integrate and uncomfortable with people. The horses provide a safe way to learn, calm, socialize and build family dynamics. The referrals are related to PTSD, anxiety, social isolation, school refusal and neurodivergence. We have a similar target group accessing the service and that is one where young people and children are struggling with their mental health and wellbeing to the extent it is impacting their lives and their ability to thrive. We address lots of low self-confidence and poor self-esteem. Children are often struggling at school and are not able to sustain this on a full-time basis. We use the horses to help them to connect to something and then we begin to use the horses to help them understand thoughts, feelings, impact of emotions and behaviour

**Objectives:** 4   The organisation?s purposes are: 4.1 To facilitate and advance the development of health, social wellbeing and improve the quality of life by providing equine assisted therapy and learning to people in need due to: a) by ill health (both physical and mental)  b) by disabilities c) by social exclusion 4.2 To facilitate and advance the development of health and social wellbeing in order to improve the quality of life of persons who are: (i) Serving or who have served in the Armed Forces and who have been injured or wounded and are suffering mental or physical illness or disability, including post-traumatic stress disorder 4.3 To provide opportunities to children and young people who are struggling with emotional wellbeing to help develop coping skills and confidence through equine assisted therapy.  4.4 The advancement of education and training in relation to animal welfare through visits, volunteering and work experience 4.5 The advancement of Scottish Culture and Hertitage by promoting the Clydesdale horse which is a native breed of Scotland.  The Clydesdale is currently listed as vulnerable and is considered a rare breed.
