While we are a local organisation, we are part of the larger network of National Round Tables, which includes over 300 groups across the UK and Ireland. Our Table is dedicated to supporting local causes and organising community events for everyone’s enjoyment. After being a recognised unincorporated club in our community for around 60 years, we achieved charitable status and have been registered as a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) since September 2022. The aims of the charity: A) To support such charitable purposes as decided from time to time B) To organise and assist with the running of events within our community C) To raise funds and distribute them to local good causes: making grants to individuals and organisations and thus helping children, young people, the elderly, people with disabilities, other charities or voluntary bodies and members of the general public. Examples of the events we have organised during this financial year include an annual community fireworks display, Santa float run and BBQs at our local primary schools. ## Structure, governance and management ## **Constitution** Troon Round Table Charitable Fund is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO), registered in September 2022. Previously an unincorporated association, the charity transitioned to a SCIO, with its assets transferred to the new entity for the 2023/2024 financial year. It operates with a two-tier structure, comprising members and a management committee of five trustees. Trustee recruitment is open to any individual who is or has been a member of Troon Round Table. ## **Achievements and performance** During the year, Troon Round Table continued to deliver a programme of events and activities that promote community spirit, raise funds for local causes, and provide opportunities for social connection. Our annual school barbecues, Santa Float, and Troon Community Fireworks Display once again proved highly popular with the local community. Each of these long-standing events plays an important role in bringing people together while generating funds that support our charitable work. A particular highlight this year was the celebration of 60 years of Troon Round Table, marked by a special Ceilidh held in November 2024. The event was very well attended and raised £1,055, which was donated to the Troon RNLI in recognition of their essential contribution to safety along our coastline. In addition, we were pleased to support local young people by donating £2,500 to Troon’s primary schools to help with the cost of their pantomime trips, ensuring all pupils could enjoy a festive outing. In total, Troon Round Table made grants and donations of £17,208 during the year — an increase of £3,338 compared to the previous year. While not all of these were made through our newly established Small Grants Fund, the introduction of this initiative helped us to increase our overall funding to the local community. We aim to launch the fund each year to continue supporting a wide range of local groups and community initiatives. Overall, the year’s activities demonstrated the continued enthusiasm, teamwork, and generosity of our members and supporters. Through these efforts, Troon Round Table remains committed to making a positive impact within the community and supporting local good causes. ## Financial review This is our accounts for the year 2024-2025 ## Statement of the charity’s policy on reserves The main purpose of our reserves is to ensure that we have sufficient funds to support our annual fireworks display and to cover potential maintenance or replacement costs for the Santa Float. These long-standing Troon traditions rely heavily on donations from spectators and contributions from local sponsors.
