The Fordyce Memorial Bequest SCIO was established to use monies generated by the sale of the doctors’ surgery in Gardenstown in line with its objects of - 1. Advancement of Health. 2. Relief of those in need. 3. Provision of recreational activities to improve the conditions of life for residents of Gardenstown and the Parish of Gamrie. This is being achieved by the Trustees considering and, where appropriate, approving applications for project funding from local charities and properly constituted good causes in Gardenstown and in the Parish of Gamrie.

Objectives: The organisation's purposes are within the Parish of Gamrie: a) the advancement of education. b) the advancement of health. c) the advancement of citizenship or community development. d) the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science. e) the advancement of public participation in sport. and f) the relief for those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability or financial hardship or other such disadvantage. To or for the benefit of such individual or group of individuals or such charitable institution or institutions or unregistered organisations that have similar charitable purposes to those of the SCIO as the Trustees may decide in their unfettered discretion.
